LinkedIn is often seen as little more than a collection of professional connections and an online résumé. In reality, however, its commercial potential is frequently left untapped. Yet it offers countless opportunities to attract new clients and strengthen existing relationships. In this workshop, you'll discover how to use LinkedIn strategically to reach the right people, build meaningful connections, and gradually generate more high-quality, warm leads.
Many professionals have a LinkedIn profile, but rarely use the platform strategically. They post something now and then, accept connection requests, and leave it at that. As a result, LinkedIn remains primarily a passive network, when it could actually be an active source of business opportunities.
The challenge is that LinkedIn only becomes truly valuable when you know who you want to reach and how to work toward that goal in a targeted way. Without a clear focus, the search for opportunities often remains haphazard and ineffective.
During this workshop, the focus shifts from “being present on LinkedIn” to “working strategically with LinkedIn.” Participants will learn how to use the platform as a practical tool within their business strategy, rather than
as a standalone communication channel.
We’ll start with the basics: the personal profile. Not as a digital business card, but as a first impression for the right target audience. Participants will examine how their profile comes across, what information needs to be immediately clear, and how they can strengthen their positioning.
Next, we’ll zoom in on the question of who you actually want to reach. By defining your ideal customer, it becomes clear which roles, organizations, and individuals are relevant. Participants will then learn how to find and approach these target groups on LinkedIn, including through search functions and Sales Navigator.
We also focus on your existing network. It often already contains valuable contacts who may become relevant again—such as former clients, past colleagues, or connections who have changed roles.
In addition, we apply the principle of social selling: add value first before asking for anything. By sharing knowledge, offering insights, and demonstrating relevance, trust and connections develop naturally.
Customization and Approach
The workshop is designed to be practical and is tailored to the organization’s target audience. Participants work with their own LinkedIn profiles, networks, and sales practices. A brief intake session takes place beforehand to ensure that examples and exercises align closely with the participants’ day-to-day realities.
By the end of the workshop, participants will know:
> What social selling via LinkedIn means in practice
> How to use LinkedIn as a business database
> How to better align their profile with their ideal customer
> How to specifically define and find their target audience
> How to leverage their existing network for new opportunities
> How to build new relationships in a natural way
> How to move from a connection to an initial business opportunity
Extras
Participants will receive access to supporting materials and practical tips to further improve their LinkedIn profile and approach after the workshop.
