Music fosters enthusiasm for leadership, teamwork and communication

In this workshop, we work with participants on and perform a percussion piece. The participants experience in an intensive and musical way what teamwork, leadership and clear communication mean. In addition, music stimulates their creativity and motor skills.

Did you know that during a performance, the drummer is often the leader of the band? The drummer sets the tempo, determines "the feel" and sets musical transitions. Thus the drummer is every time leader, communicator and team player in one. With these roles and characteristics we will 'get to work' in the workshop. This is useful because the participants use them daily in their work.

We work together on a percussion piece and eventually perform it together in the workshop. By actively playing together and using the many musical instruments, the participants experience in an intensive and musical way what teamwork, leadership and clear communication mean. Moreover, music stimulates their creativity and motor skills.

During the workshop we use various types of percussion instruments and work with the participants under the guidance of a drummer. In doing so, we guarantee that we complete and perform the musical piece within the duration of the workshop. Therefore, the participants practice their musical contribution in groups, listen carefully to each other, follow the rhythm of the drummer and work together with the workshop leader as well as with their hands and feet. Multi-tasking, in other words. For many it will feel like driving a car again for the first time.
The workshop can be a stand-alone event but can also be used as a practical and light-hearted part of a training, teambuilding session, off-site meeting, cultural program or festivity.
