Generations in the workplace do not exist, only in families.
With two generations in front of the group (mother & daughter or father & daughter), The Bridgers show how generational labels actually take us out of connection and actually increase polarization. No generation gap, but we invite curiosity, inclusion and true collaboration.
The Bridgers bring a refreshing and substantiated counterpoint to the conversation about generations in the workplace. Where many organizations continue to think in terms of age labels and so-called generational differences, we show: generations are not a fact, but a pair of glasses. And those glasses increasingly get in the way of inclusion, collaboration and innovation.
Our strength lies in form as well as content. With two generations in front of the group (mother & daughter or father & daughter) we make visible what often happens unconsciously: assumptions, prejudices and expectations based on age. It certainly chafes with us, but we will always use the finest grit. Not to accuse, but to wake up. Because the problem is not a
generation gap, the problem arises when judgment wins out over curiosity.
Sam started this company as the daughter of two trainers, raised in an environment where ideas were not weighed by age, but by substance. In business, she experienced the contrast: organizations claim to be looking for "young fresh eyes," but visibly struggle to truly harness potential. Why does connection and inclusion succeed at home at the kitchen table, but lose it as soon as we close the front door of the organization behind us?
Scientific research confirms this tension. Large meta-studies (e.g. Costanza, Ravid & Romero, 2024) show that generations hardly differ in what they find important in work: autonomy, appreciation, development, meaning and work-life balance. Yet both young and older employees structurally experience age discrimination (CBS, NIDI, Inclusion Benchmark 2024). The result: selffulfilling prophecies, the Golem effect, less psychological security and ultimately turnover and reduced performance.
With the Bridging Model and our curiosity meter, we make this concrete and practical. We show how leaders, teams and organizations can shift from judgment to curiosity, collaboration and inclusion.
The Bridgers do not provide a training on ''generations,'' but an invitation to inclusion, psychological safety and future-proof collaboration. Because those who look only at age miss the human being.
