Although Barbara Barend used to dream of a sports career, she eventually chose (sports) journalism. She certainly stands her ground as a woman in the male-dominated soccer world. Barbara incorporates her knowledge and experiences into her presentations for all kinds of occasions. Her style is critical, sharp and analytical. With this she ensures that your meeting will be a success!

In her youth, Barbara played for the Dutch girls' soccer team. From 1992 to 1996, Barbara studied Business Administration at the University of Texas. Here she was known as the best tennis player at the university. In 1994, Barbara made her debut as a journalist. At the time, she started as a freelancer for Webber Magazine in the US. Once back in the Netherlands, Barbara started giving tennis lessons to Amsterdam youth and writing columns. Soon she made the move to television, presenting Zappsport and Voetbal Inside. Furthermore, Barbara set up the sports glossy Helden together with her father, Frits Barend. She is also an ambassador for the Johan Cruijff foundation and mother of 2 children.
