I fell in love with the accordion a few years ago, and since then I have been playing as often as possible in many different places. The accordion is a very versatile instrument, and can create atmosphere in any place and on any occasion.
So I play in auction houses, steam pumping stations, nursing homes, at birthdays, along walking routes, or on the streets of Amsterdam. I have many hours of repertoire in different styles, such as French music, tango, classical and jazz. Of course the repertoire can be adapted to your wishes. I can play in the center of attention, or more in the background. Amplification is usually not necessary, but is also a possibility. I can also rehearse songs on request. Much is possible, please feel free to contact me!

A successful birthday party partly due to the cheerful sounds from Gijs Leegwater's accordion. Two hours of entertaining music, for a party of 20-25 people. Gijs is a pleasant person in his performance, no star power, there was much appreciation for his music. The enthusiastic and sincere applause at the end was therefore fully deserved
