How it began
5 years old, that's how old Iwein was when he first performed. The audience was already charmed by the little guy who gave the best of himself next to daddy. Meanwhile, he has grown "a little" taller, but the charm remains.
Wherever Speelman Iwein comes, children begin to jump,
adults to dance and grandmas and grandpas to sing along at the top of their voices. Or they sit and enjoy, because that is Iwein's goal: to have people enjoy his music.
Love for accordion
Iwein discovered the instrument when he was 14 and hasn't been able to go a day without it since. With the help of Philippe Thuriot, Rony Verbiest and Jules Willems, he refined his technique and pulls out all the stops.
Solo he feels like a fish in the water, but his past as a singer/musician in blues and pop groups proves that he is at home in all markets.
But the love for accordion doesn't stop there. Besides playing the accordion, Iwein has his hands full with his specialty store 'Accordeons Viseur'. There you can not only buy your ideal accordion, but also have the instrument repaired!

An accordion is not a brass band. Nevertheless, a accordion can produce quite a sound, enough for intimate performances in a retirement home or in a café where about twenty people listen attentively and sing along. A birthday party with fifty guests or a company party for half of Belgium requires amplification with appropriate audio equipment.

Iwein did a great job. He was fun and everybody enjoyed himself. He walked around the room, where he stood everybody joined in. The only thing is that it would have been better if there was an amplifier, but we and Iwein couldn't know that in advance!
