After years of dominating the underground scene under the name Kippie, the rapper from Utrecht finally breaks through in 2017 under the name Djezja. Accompanied by Ali B he released his successful EP's Geen Regels en Ogen Op Mij (No Rules and Eyes On Me). The rapper from Utrecht worked together with a.o. At a young age Djezja was inspired by the lyrics of hip-hop legend Tupac Shakur (2Pac). He learned these English lyrics by heart and over the years he started to understand them better and better. Themes that 2pac discussed in his lyrics included setbacks in life, social problems and stories of the street. These themes appealed to the Moroccan rapper at an early age. In his teens he also decided to pick up the pen and start writing

Djezja created a big buzz for herself by freestyle sessions at well-known platforms such as 101Barz and Zonamo Underground. After this he released the tracks Fout Gaan and Aversion. In 2018 Djezja, who at that time was still a Kippie, signed with the label of Ali B. The name Kippie was given to him by boys from the neighborhood as he was the brother of Kipcorn. Djezja also means Kippie in Arabic

In 2017 Djezja made his debut with his new name and released two EPs called Djezja and Geen Regels, which included collaborations with Boef, 3Robi, Tony and Kevin. With his first EP, Djezja, the Utrecht rapper came in at number 15 and stayed in the charts for 14 weeks. His second EP ended up at number 16 in the Dutch Album Charts and stayed here for 7 weeks

In 2019, the rapper released his third EP called 'Eyes on Me' where collaborations emerged with Jayh , Soufiane Eddyani , 3Robi and Yung Felix. This project came in at number 17 and stayed in the Dutch Album Charts for 3 weeks
