Moroccan-Dutch, international and multigenre protest artist Abouta (stage name of Abdelhakim Boutachkourt) was born on April 10, 1985. In elementary school, he already excelled in language and spelling, which made him decide to start writing even then. Since the 2020s, it has been impossible to imagine the music industry without him, not only because of tracks he has released with founding fathers of Dutch hip-hop or the attention that 101Barz, Rotjoch and Dutch Public Broadcasting give him, but also because of his collaborations with d'Tuniz, Def P, Kaascouse, Logical, Sondy, Yasz Base, Rolly, TR33, Rainey, O-Bat, T.Y.S, Johnny Distortion, City Lights, Tone Jonez, Ivo Statinski, Jordan River Banks, Lucifer, Chiraqxel, NameOnTheBeat and Boudewijn de Groot (he gave Abouta permission to cover his hit Welterusten Mijnheer De President). All his releases can be found on all streaming services, socials and web shops (partly on Apple Music).
