How often do you stay in your comfort zone because it feels safe and familiar? What does that sense of safety cost you?
How do you take the first steps to step outside your comfort zone? And how do you make sure you don’t go back? A keynote that combines humor, relatability, and depth.
A theatrical, thought-provoking keynote on resilience, delivered with plenty of humor.
We think we’re safe in our comfort zone. Everything’s nicely under control. But is that really the case?
From a young age, we develop all kinds of masks to protect ourselves—such as people-pleasing, perfectionism, overachieving, or being the one who does everything on their own. Those masks were once necessary, but what happens when they no longer protect you, but instead hold you back from living life to the fullest?
How often do you say “yes” when you really mean “no”? How long does that one achievement keep making you feel good, until you have to move on to the next one? How often do you do everything yourself because you
don’t want to be a burden to others or are convinced that no one can do it as well as you?
What does it cost you to stay in your comfort zone?
During this theatrical keynote, Irma van Herwaarden takes you on a journey into the world of our defense mechanisms, using humor, personal stories, and confrontational, relatable situations.
This isn’t your typical lecture where you just sit back and listen. You’ll be challenged to look within, recognize your own patterns, and discover what’s holding you back from stepping out of your comfort zone.
Resilience isn’t just about getting back up when you’ve fallen. It’s also about having the courage to let go of the familiar, make new choices, and dare to be more and more yourself.
Do you dare to step out of your comfort zone and live life to the fullest?
As part of this keynote, Irma will stay after the talk to chat, answer questions, or discuss personal experiences with members of the audience.
