✨ Do you dream of performing a wedding as a BABS for 1 day? ✨
With my more than 5 years of experience as a Wedding officiant and my background in elementary education, I assist people who fulfill the role of BABS for one day. I help both officially appointed and sworn BABS's for a day as well as friends or family members conducting a ceremonial wedding who need practical tips and structure.
What is covered during the training?
The introductory interview: how do you gather the right information? Who do you talk to and what questions help to bring out personal stories and emotions?
The structure of the ceremony: from beginning to end, including a clear script.
The welcome speech: how to set
the right tone right away?
The speech: how do you translate all the stories and feelings into a personal and fitting story for the bride and groom and the guests?
The official part: what are the formal requirements and what room is there for personal interpretation?
The closing of the ceremony: a strong and appropriate final word.
With the help of practical tips and extensive course material, you will be able to work confidently and create a warm, personal ceremony that will stay with you.

On June 8, I was BABS at the Kazerne in Eindhoven for the wedding of Pieter and Manon Kerkhof-Bogmans. It was an unforgettable day, also thanks to the help of the Eindhoven municipality. The supervisor, Ms. Edith Koppelmans, took the crown in the preparations. She supported me in word and deed in a very pleasant way. She was humorous, not pedantic, and gave me enough space for my own initiative. She radiated that I was not alone. First there was an informative meeting at the town hall, with delicious coffee, in a relaxed atmosphere. There she taught me the ropes. After that, she was always available via email and app. Constantly she gave me confidence. I found her very professional. I myself am someone who gives a lot of lectures, so I do have an eye for it. I had the ceremony completely written out and checked with her in advance via email, what a service! On the day itself she was there, provided a hammer to literally tap out the wedding and a box of tissues ("happy tears" it said). In the corner of my eye I saw her constantly sitting, modestly in a corner in the front row, and that made me feel that everything would go fine. She was unobtrusive yet very present, which strengthened me in my mission.
