I know Abel Tamata from his work at the Life Changing Group, where he makes an impressive impact on young people. From my role as senior education manager at an MBO educational institution, I therefore deliberately invited him on behalf of the organization to contribute to our kick-offs at the beginning of the school year. On Thursday, August 21, Abel was keynote speaker during the kick-off for teachers at ROC MBO College Zuidoost. On Tuesday, August 26, he was a guest again, this time during the kick-off of the school year for our new students. Two moments, two target groups, but one powerful and consistent message. Abel tells a personal and honest story about hope, perseverance and persistence. Not abstract motivation, but a life story that touches and evokes recognition. Teachers were touched in their role as guides and role models; students felt seen and addressed in their own search and development. What makes Abel special is his ability to create real connection. He knows how to reach out to young people in an equal way while at the same time making education professionals think about their impact. Highly recommended for organizations that work with young people and believe in the power of personal growth, resilience and perspective.

Abel knows how to captivate his audience even before his background as a former professional football player is known. His strength lies in his authenticity: he is approachable, ordinary and genuinely interested in the people opposite him. He easily adapts his language and attitude to the target audience, takes time for personal contact and is therefore quickly appreciated and trusted.
