I am Joost Patocka, jazz drummer, and I know better than anyone how to find connection in the midst of uncertainty. For more than 30 years I have been on stage, where no concert is the same. The principles that shaped me as a musician I now share with you. My musical journey has taken me from the North Sea Jazz Festival to the Concertgebouw, through Europe, the United States and Asia. I have been training young talent at Rotterdam Conservatory of Music since 2007.

In my workshop we experiment, listen to each other and dare to be vulnerable. You learn to move along without losing yourself and break through fixed thinking patterns. Whether you are a leader, a team member or simply want to work better together - this is your invitation to discover the world of improvisation.
