We are all "penny-wise and pound-foolish. Dealing with money: how hard can it be? Add, subtract, and you know where you stand, you might say. But this is beyond human irrationality. And this is something we all suffer from, even without being aware of it.
Human behavior stems 95% from intuition, scientists say. Serious mathematics suffers quite often, as numerous scientific studies and experiments show. During this lecture you will get numerous entertaining examples of this. Be surprised and amazed about our clumsy handling of money, in this interactive lecture.

Was a nice presentation, with fun facts.

For a group of young professionals, Michiel delivered a varied and interactive lecture in just one hour. Using many concrete examples and studies, he made it concrete how (self) deception is around the corner. And he translates this to how you might encounter this in work context. Highly recommended!

For a company night we had asked Michiel to come and speak for us. He gave an interactive lecture based on his book about how the subconscious can deceive us, using interesting research. It was very successful because everyone joined in to share experiences regarding this topic. I can only recommend this lecture!

Michiel took us through how irrational our behavior sometimes is in three quarters of an hour. With interesting research, videos and visuals, he especially took us from one surprise to another. Very nice and certainly interesting to think about after the lecture as well. I can definitely recommend Michiel!
