My performances are no ordinary concerts or background music; they are a journey through a spontaneously created world of sounds, exclusive to the moment and the attendees. With a background in both classical, jazz and pop music, I combine technique with emotion to deliver live compositions that embody the essence of improvisation.
I want to emphasize that my performances are unique in their nature; I do not play existing pieces. My art is completely improvised, a purely original performance that arises in the moment, inspired by the environment, the people and the atmosphere. This makes each performance exclusive, a once-in-a-lifetime experience that cannot be replicated.

Jerke van den Braak took private piano lessons with David Coppoolse since the age of six where he studied mainly classical music. At a young age, however, he mainly developed his improvisational qualities. Later he studied composition at the HKU where he graduated in 2007. Following that, he studied another year with composer Martijn Padding at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. He gave a memorable concert in Carré for the birthday of Queen Beatrix.
