He composes minimal / ambient / neo-classical piano music, this music has been streamed over 3 million times online on Youtube or Spotify. Cedric often plays his own compositions at gigs and also plays film music, classical music, jazz, improvisation and pop covers on request. Can also be booked together with a jazz trumpet player/singer for a more jazzy set.
As a pianist, he has his own style and sound, which has earned him many fans on Spotify, since his debut album "Left Upon Us" (check it out). For fans of Nils Frahm, expect an ambient piano set with acoustic piano mixed with electronics.
Of course, it is also always possible for him to provide a purely acoustic set, with improvisation and responding to the atmosphere and setting, or just with his own works and classical repertoire, whatever you wish.
Uniquely, he travels around with his own acoustic piano and can bring it freshly tuned to your occasion. This for an additional charge of 70 euros (under the condition of a parking space and first floor).

For the opening of the exhibition of maritime dioramas at the customs house in Maassluis, I contacted Cedric. The location is special; the cottage is on the tip of the harbor pier, right on the water, and is available to artists as an exhibition space. The reflecting water, the large ships sliding by give a separate atmosphere; a wonderful place to hear Cedric's music played. With a small piano he brought along, he conjured -with electronic background- the most beautiful rippling music from his piano. More sensitive, softer and even more atmospheric than the works that could be heard beforehand on youtube. His composition "breathing water" was a bliss to hear here. Cedric's suggestion of a mini-concert was a good idea, better than 'background' music, it is far too well-made for that. Images, words, music, water, vastness, sunlight: everything flowed together. One listened in the audience with eyes closed to hear even better.... . That confluence of the senses lifts you above everyday existence... As an encore a beautiful piece by Chopin rolled through the room, no problem for this talented Pianist/ Composer. The performance was done quietly, contact with the audience was pleasant and attentive. Late entrants were welcomed with eye contact. Cedric told that he also performs his work with other musicians, a performance from more classical to 'full ambient electronic music' is also possible. We will meet again....

Cedric provided a special concert at our home. Playing the stars from heaven, he made himself known as an understated and very approachable person. All pieces were given some context and in a pleasant way he shared with us his musical development The conversation before, during the "intermission" and afterwards was very casual, as if he had been a family friend for years.
