With her master classes and lectures on cyber security, Lara ensures every month that more people and organizations are armed against cybercrime. Like many other Dutch people, Lara Hemstede became a victim of cybercriminals in 2015. She was hacked, threatened and stalked, but despite these serious and frightening threats, police were still unable to answer many questions.

This motivated her to then take matters into her own hands. Today, after many trainings, certifications and, among other things, a permit from the Ministry of Security and Justice, she is fighting back. She founded Cyber Proof where, together with experts, she helps both individuals and organizations with everything related to cybercrime.

Every day Lara Hemstede uses her expertise to protect individuals and organizations from the dangers of cybercrime. She tracks down weaknesses in security, investigates cybercrime so that it does not go unpunished, and develops an app for victims of digital violence.

Cybercrime is evolving rapidly, but thanks to her daily focus, Lara always manages to bring the latest insights and lessons to her lectures and master classes. By simply increasing knowledge about the dangers and prevention, organizations and individuals know how to protect themselves much better.

Through lectures and workshops, Lara shares her knowledge with organizations and individuals. The best and easiest step against cybercrime is prevention. By taking the right steps, it is possible to significantly reduce the threat and thus not even give cybercriminals a chance.
