Robbert is an acoustic Blues artist who tells beautiful stories together with his guitar.
He brings his music pure, sincere and full of passion. In this, his voice and guitar playing is full of dedication.
As a duo he is accompanied by his son on double bass.
By singing and playing from his heart, he makes a deep connection with his audience. In his show, he tells stories with a message. Singing together, laughing, clapping and also wiping away a tear...music that connects and makes you feel good. Especially in these times, this is hugely important!
Robbert's oldest son Rubin plays double bass. He is a talented young musician who has a big heart for the blues. With a renewed perspective on the blues, he brings a fresh energy.
Influences and inspiration His music is a mix of Gospel and Delta Blues with a pinch of British-American folk inspired by Charley Patton, Skip James, Willie Dixon, Blind Willy Johnson, Dave Van Ronk, John Lee Hooker and Michael de
Jong.
