From delta blues to swing and back through Americana and folk, that's the Long Lost Ponies band. Atmospheric, classic delta blues songs interspersed with their own work from the same stable, and with both, musicality and integrity are paramount. Because of their small lineup and acoustic instruments, they are ideal for smaller venues.

Long Lost Ponies consists of experienced musicians with an ear for the sound of Southern blues music. Finger-picking style guitar parts are the basis, complemented by howling harmonicas, lived-in vocals and swinging percussion.
The band from Alkmaar plays covers from a century ago (songs by Skip James, RL Burnside or Robert Johnson) as easily as modern pop songs in delta blues clothing. Their own work is not inferior to this: it elegantly repurposes all the goodness of the old, in delicious live jams full of fire and passion.

Long Lost Ponies are a joy to watch and are guaranteed to lift a crowd. The swinging rhythms by percussionist Jeroen Dekker drive the bluesy harmonics of Arjan Terpstra's finger-picking guitar style. Combine this with the haunting harmonica sounds of Bob Götte and Terpstra's blues lyrics, and you'll get a night's entertainment to forever remember.
