The headstrong musical brothers Van der Westen play an energetic mix of self-written Americana, folk, blues and soul. They combine it with American folk classics. With performances at renowned stages and festivals in the Netherlands and Flanders, the brothers have built up a loyal fan base. Their energetic stage appearance and authentic sound ensure that they always leave an unforgettable impression on the audience. Whether at a small-scale blues or folk festival or in a small theater, the Van der Westen brothers succeed time and again in enchanting people with their musical stories.
Since 2015, Dieter and Eric have been expressing their secret love for Americana in a small, intimate setting. From tranquil Rootsfolk songs to grooving Americana. Previously, the brothers had their own musical careers separately, Dieter in world music with his Dutch Moroccan band Kasba with which he plays all over the world and has played with, among others, BLØF, Paul de Leeuw, Frank Boeijen and the Metropool Orchestra. Eric has an extensive career in jazz music and works with, among others, the Dutch composer Martin Fondse, Paul van Kemenade and the Turkish superstar Sezen Aksu.
