Marching musicians from Rembrandt's painting The Night Watch.
The atmosphere of the 17th century shaped by the drummer and flautist of the Night Watch. They march through the streets with their cheerful tunes. Each time musical signals sound, challenging the audience to move or participate.
At central locations they take a roll of parchment in hand to recite Vondel's poems or general regulations, a weather forecast, a friendly greeting or sheer nonsense.
Performance time: 3x30 minutes within 4 hours.
