Since childhood, frontman & singer-songwriter Philippe Laperre (37) has been passionate & creative about making music. Since 2007 he has been writing his songs in his own West Flemish language. After a search for musicians, a definitive formation formed around him in 2008 with Mirjana Decock as cellist and Pieter Dubois as pianist/trombonist. In 2009 they immediately came knocking on the door when they were among the last five Belgian bands in the Nederpopprijs and gave quite a few performances throughout the West Flemish landscape. The birth of their baby daughter put Gulder & Ikke on hold. The fans could enjoy what was on the record. Meanwhile, there is also a second daughter but the creative jack-of-all-trades Philippe did not sit still. In 2020, he started dropping singles for which he received praise from, among others, the Belgian music website Luminous Dash. Check the website ##### for more info.
