Bart De Bondt (°1964) is ex-CEO of ING's insurance business in Belgium. In that capacity, he learned a lot about leadership: how it should be done, but how it often doesn't happen. After his departure from ING, he wrote a book about this at the request of an Amsterdam publisher called "The ladder of leadership." This quickly became a bestseller and in the year of publication was nominated for "Best Management Book.
