In the year 2004 Sharon Doorson broke up with the girls of Raffish, scoring a number one hit with the number Plaything. With the program Popstars The Rivals, two groups were composed from thousands of candidates, namely a boy band and a girl group. These two groups then competed against each other. During the finals, the contestants looked at who had scored a No. 1 hit first. The men of Men2B scored a No. 1 hit faster and thus won the final. Raffish's single eventually grew into a bigger hit.

The girl group scored hits such as Plaything , Thursday's Child and Let Go (ft. DJ Chuckie) and supported the Backstreet Boys, They also received a nomination for a TMF Award.

In 2006, Raffish broke up and Sharon decided to study at the Rotterdam Conservatory.During her studies, she came into contact with house music, this music movement inspired her to change music genre. So in 2008 she started working with different DJs from the house scene under her new alias MC Sharon D. She supported established names such as D-Rashid, Genairo Nvilla, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano behind the turntables.

In 2011 Sharon decided to participate in a television program for the third time. On The Voice of Holland, she managed to flip all the judges. She decided to go down the route under the tutelage of Marco Borsato, which resulted in great success. Sharon made it to the semi-finals of the program. The following year she released her first solo hit Fail In Love and came in at number 14 in the single top 40! The song was also a big hit in Switzerland.
Fail in Love was awarded a gold record in the Netherlands! Because the single was so well received, Sharon decided to try her luck in America. She re-released her hit with Armada North America Records. This is the record company founded by Armin van Buuren.

Her debut album Killer was released in 2013. Like her single, the album was a huge success, entering the album top 40 at number 20 and staying in the charts for three weeks ! Partly due to the success of her debut album, she got in touch with the music label 8ball Music under which she released the hit song Something Beautiful, among others.
