Iris Kroes, an artist at heart, immediately drew attention with her stunning participation in The Voice of Holland. Almost four million Dutch people saw her win the finals of The Voice of Holland 2012.

During her audition on "The Voice of Holland," Iris immediately managed to impress both the judges and the audience with her enchanting voice and virtuoso harp skills. Under the guidance of coach Marco Borsato, she excelled in the competition, and her powerful and emotional performances eventually brought her victory. Her winning single "I Can't Make You Love Me" reached the charts and established her name as an emerging talent.

Iris Kroes was born on November 11, 1992 and hails from the Frisian town of Drachten. She has been singing since she could talk and has been playing the harp for over 15 years. In doing so, Iris Kroes has found a unique combination. With her voice she touches the sensitive chord.

''I'm just Iris from Friesland,'' she emphasizes. ''I just want to be able to sing for people as long as possible, share my voice and write songs. Music is everything to me, I get totally absorbed in it. It always will be." Thanks to her unique combination, Iris is a welcome guest at events in special locations, for example, Iris has performed several times for members of the Royal Family, has been touring the world for years with her own #IrisCruise show as a guest entertainer on cruise ships and plays a lot with orchestras.

Iris describes herself as an epicurean and an optimist. Those traits are reflected in the way she talks about her life as a musician. "I see this as an adventure that I enjoy immensely," the singer says. "I always want to keep working hard and start learning a lot, because I'm far from growing up. My ship (sometimes literally) leaves from rivers into the big ocean and I enjoy every moment.''
