We see a girl wandering around the city on a cold (New Year's Eve) night and has landed on her jute bag.
All people do their shopping or sit together at home in the warmth of the fireplace. However, the girl sits outside in her thin dress and has to sell sulfur sticks. She doesn't dare go home, because she hasn't sold a stick yet
She gets so cold that she runs off a stick herself. It warms her up, but for a moment... Then suddenly she sees..
Because of the effect this act is without pedestal: the jute bag serves as a playfield.
The sulphur sticks give a small lighter flame and are not for sale.
