With Marijke you have a good flutist in house who will give your event extra character. Everything is possible in consultation, including expansion of the line-up. If possible, Marijke will gladly bring her pianist along.

Marijke got her love for music from her first teacher, Appelona Klarenbeek. She then did her bachelor at the ArtEZ conservatory in Zwolle with Jorge Caryevschi and her master with Aldo Baerten at the conservatory in Utrecht. During her studies Marijke enjoyed playing in all kinds of chamber music formations and ensemble playing became something she enjoyed doing most.

For years she formed a duo with guitarist Carlos Diaz Mendoza. They played concerts in the Netherlands and Mexico and Mexico became like a second home for Marijke. For years in a row she went there regularly and played solo concerts as well as concerts in various chamber music settings

Besides all kinds of styles in classical music, the love for Latin America has remained and Marijke enjoys playing all kinds of Latin repertoire, mainly tango. She plays a lot with pianist Sunghee, and is also in close contact with other musicians and can vary in instrumentation. Would you like a varied program? We have repertoire in the form of flute-piano, 2 flutes-piano, flute-cello-piano and 2 flutes-cello. We all passed our master's degree in music with flying colors and would love to make your event an experience!
