Robbert (b. 1969) won the 2014 Blues Award for best blues singer in
Netherlands. For 2016, he is again nominated for this title.
In 2013 he was the first and only Dutch blues act ever to reach the finals at the
prestigious International Blues Challenge in Memphis. In early 2017, he reached
the semifinals. Robbert has several bands and duos.
Robbert shared the stage with many American blues artists, including
including on tours organized by him with these artists. Some names:
Magic Slim, John Primer, Tail Dragger, Willie Kent, Melvia 'Chick' Rodgers,
Lil' Jimmy Reed, Lola Gulley, Willie Buck and others.
'Blues youngblood' Thomas Toussaint (1990) is one of Holland's best harmonica
players right now, despite the fact that he has actually only been playing for three years; in
fact, he has received
won the 2016 Blues Award for best harmonica player. Thomas has mastered
many styles and techniques of playing. With help from a number of renowned Ameri-
kan players, he has made this his own through serious study. With his own

In Katwijk enjoyed a good blues band that gave a wonderful performance that did not leave the dance floor unused. And also not unimportant, pleasant musicians who do not ask the main price.

Robbert Fossen and his band played the roof of the house on Sunday. It was a Sunday afternoon but that was nowhere to be seen, people flew onto the dance floor and enjoyed the show from start to finish. The finest blues classics passed by and are performed with honor by Robbert and his very good band.
