Workshop: Catch The Saboteur — A Team Game for Tough Conversations
Even in the best teams, communication breaks down under pressure. In this interactive workshop, participants play "Catch The Saboteur": a role-play game that teaches them to spot the inner voices sabotaging their conversations, and to respond calmly, clearly, and without blame. Serious skills, wrapped in an energising game.

What happens during this workshop? After a brief introduction to mental resilience and the “saboteurs” (such as the Critic, the Controller, and the Hyper-Rational), participants work in small groups on realistic scenarios: giving feedback, handling a conflict, and saying no to a coworker. Through role-playing, feedback from colleagues, and guided debriefings, they practice a simple, repeatable method for interrupting stress responses and reacting with empathy. The result: greater self-awareness, increased psychological safety, and stronger collaboration—all of which are immediately noticeable in the workplace.

This team training is ideal for team-building days, offsites, team outings, and leadership programs. It’s perfect for founders, engineering managers, scale-up teams, and management teams looking to reduce friction and rebuild trust.

About Irene: Irene Anggreeni is a mental fitness coach, trainer, and TEDx speaker with a background in software engineering. She combines a Ph.D. in Industrial Design Engineering with a (clinical) master’s degree in dance and movement therapy—a unique blend of analytical and creative skills. She has led this workshop at various events organized by Toastmasters for leaders from the Benelux and France.
