Martijn van den Assem is a professor of Finance at the Free University. His main focus is on the choices and judgments we make as humans. His knowledge and expertise is therefore actually at the interface of (behavioral) economics, finance and psychology.

During his lecture he shows which predictable mistakes people make when they are active in the real estate market, for example in their role as buyer or seller, but also as a professional. He does this using psychological insights and scientific research. His lecture combines scientific depth, examples, entertainment and interaction.
