DE16VAN - Live! + Workshop is a concept where it is all about inspiring, bringing together, presenting and stimulating creativity. Together with Akwasi and the 4 language artists he brings along, you will search for the most important sixteen sentences of your life.

DE16VAN is a concept in which we ask several well-known language artists (Rappers, poets, writers, singers, presenters, etc.) to recite the sixteen most important sentences of his/her life a cappella. The aim is to build bridges between different people and target groups and to show that if you leave out the prejudices, the beat or the chord, the message of a 70-year-old poet doesn't have to be much different than that of a 20-year-old rapper.

After 50 online episodes, the concept has been turned into "DE16VAN - Live!". Akwasi will come to your event with 4 speakers to inspire people and bring them together. Earlier "DE16VAN - Live!" was already at the opening festival of the Book Week and this summer it even had an edition in Portugal

At DE16VAN - Live! + Workshop, immediately after the performance, the artists present give various group workshops that can help those present in their search for their own "16" Think for example of creative writing, performance/presentation training, breathing exercises. At the end of the event there will be a check to see if there are actually participants who want to nominate their own "16".
