Peter Doppen knows better than anyone what it is like to live with uncertainty and adversity. As a young boy, Peter Doppen could have fun with cars, reading, drawing and creative things. Creativity led him to music and drums at age 13. Hours a day he studied before joining a blues band three years later with a bunch of forty-somethings. Soon he was in demand by other bands. Then teaching joined and drumming became his job. After twenty-one years with a permanent teaching practice, he now coaches drummers and bands on location. In addition, he still performs a lot himself. In recent years he regularly presents his special story for, among others, medics, psychologists and (former) patients.
