Yesim Candan sees diversity not as a buzzword, but as a source of strength for society. With her term bicultural, she gave a new, positive sound to an often fraught discussion. She stimulates, inspires and confronts: to her, diversity is not only about being proud of your background, but also about embracing differences and vulnerabilities. With initiatives such as Inspiration for Integration and her sharp columns she brings new perspectives on living together in the Netherlands.
As a writer and columnist, Candan was a weekly contributor to RTLNieuws.nl for five years and contributed essays to FD Persoonlijk. She also replaced Ronald Plasterk for six months with weekly columns in De Telegraaf and appeared several times as a guest columnist at de Volkskrant. These days she writes probing pieces about intimate terror for LINDA. and lifestyle articles for VROUW.
As of now, Yesim Candan can be booked through Showbird starting at €1,500,

Reviews
, Sanne Poot, Hoofd Programma Debatpodium Arminius
Yesim Candan recited a column during the sold-out program "What it takes to fight femicide" at Arminius Debate Stage. Full of conviction, she knows how to address the audience and point out the red flags that can indicate behavior that could potentially lead to murder by a (former) partner. In recent years she has gained a lot of knowledge on the subject and knows how to make it clear to a diverse audience. Warmly recommended.
, Emma
During the dialogue session on Femicide organized by Saaam, Yesim Candan played the role of moderator in a powerful and engaging way. With her careful guidance, sharp questions and warm approach, she created a safe space for an open and respectful dialogue. Her moderation gave depth to the conversation and visibly contributed to the impact and meaning of the meeting.
