This year's sponsor evening on Thursday, Nov. 27, was all about soccer, ambition and inspiration. Guest speaker René van der Kooij - known as success coach at various top amateur clubs and recently assistant coach at Telstar, promoted to the Eredivisie - captivated the audience from start to finish. Van der Kooij breathes soccer. In his lecture he took those present on his impressive journey: from talented youth player at Excelsior Maassluis to successful trainer who wrote history with USV Hercules by eliminating Ajax in the KNVB Cup.
