Yassine Radi Hemdi grew up in an environment where crime and street culture played a major role. As a youth, he became entangled in a world of robberies, burglaries and drug dealing, which eventually landed him in prison several times. He was included in Amsterdam's infamous Top600 list, a group of repeat offenders closely monitored by authorities. His life seemed stuck in a cycle of violence and incarceration until, during his seventh incarceration, he decided to radically change course.
This reversal marked the beginning of a new path. Instead of falling back into old patterns, Yassine chose to use his experiences to help others. He delved into the mechanisms behind juvenile delinquency
In his lectures, Yassine Radi Hemdi shares raw, honest and profound insights about juvenile crime and street culture
As a former Top600 youth, he knows the system inside out and knows better than anyone why some youth end up in crime - and how to help them get out.
His stories are confrontational, but always with one goal: to show what does work. Whether it is about the role of group dynamics, the limitations of the prison system or practical strategies to guide young people, Yassine combines personal experiences with a sharp analysis of reality.
