Lodewijk Hoekstra is the Netherlands' best-known TV gardener, presenter, garden designer, entrepreneur and a passionate advocate of sustainability. His mission is to inspire people and companies to make their living environment greener and more sustainable. With his extensive knowledge and enthusiasm, he knows how to motivate young and old for a healthy green lifestyle.

Lodewijk is co-founder of NL Greenlabel which, with a network of 200 partners, is considered a leader when it comes to making the living environment more sustainable. He is also an ambassador for 'Green Circle Green Healthy City' in which he helps municipalities to go greener and he goes out daily with his green ambulance for 'On the move to' on his way to a more sustainable world.

Louis offers inspiring lectures and interactive workshops focusing on topics such as:

Extended session: For an additional cost, the lecture can be extended with interactive elements or workshops, tailored to the specific needs.

About Lodewijk Hoekstra:

Raised in a rural environment, Lodewijk developed a deep connection with nature at an early age. After his studies in landscaping and business administration, he started as a landscaper and garden designer. His television career began in 2004, after which he presented several green programs. In 2012, together with landscape architect Nico Wissing, he founded NL Greenlabel, an organization dedicated to making the living environment measurably more sustainable.

Lodewijk lives with his wife and their two children, Mats and Lotte, in a sustainable home on the outskirts of Naarden, surrounded by beautiful nature. On weekends and vacations, his two children from a previous marriage also come here to enjoy the green surroundings. For Lodewijk, sustainability is not just an ideal, but a way of life that he himself lives by with full conviction.
