For nearly 30 years, Louwerens has worked in television. The down-to-earth Rotterdam native began as a creator and creative and was then asked to be program director at RTL Netherlands. This is where he first managed the illustrious trio of Wilfred Genee, René van der Gijp and Johan Derksen. Little did he know then that he would spend years hanging out with the men, who gave him the affectionate nickname "Directeurtje. In 2018, John de Mol, asked Louwerens as director of TALPA's television channels. After several successful years, he decided to bid farewell to the channels in 2023 to work as a Creative Consultant. De Mol did ask to remain involved with Today Inside even after his departure, and so he and the men remain linked to each other to this day. In those 3 decades, Marco has of course experienced the necessary adventures. Full of beautiful, true stories and a lot of hot air. Full of egos and selfies. Natural talents and narcissists.
