Jamai's performance is a combination of beautiful music and a captivating show. With his fantastic voice, he manages to enchant the audience, while charmingly talking the performance together. His interaction with the audience creates a lively atmosphere, effortlessly capturing the hearts of his listeners. Each song is performed with passion and emotion, taking the audience on a journey full of musical highlights.
In January 2004, Loman made his musical debut. He performed the role of Jonathan in the musical Sleeping Beauty at the Efteling theater. In the 2004/2005 season, he won a John Kraaijkamp Musical Award for Emerging Talent for his role as store clerk Barnaby Tucker in the musical Hello Dolly. In 2005, Loman took on the role of
Simon Zealotus in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. For this role he received a nomination for a John Kraaijkamp Musical Award in the category "Best Supporting Actor.
In season 2006/2007, Loman was an alternate to Danny Yanga, who played the role of Scarecrow in The Wiz. He also alternated with Jim de Groot to play the role of The Wiz. For his role Marius in the Dutch version of Les Misérables in 2008, he won John Kraaijkamp Musical Award in the "Best Supporting Actor" category.
In September and October 2009, Loman played the role of Bobby Goud in the M-Lab production Urinetown. In the spring of 2010, he starred as Joseph in the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Beatrix Theater in Utrecht. He regularly took over the role from Freek Bartels. From October 2010 through February 2011, he reappeared in the musical Urinetown in the role of Bobby Goud. This time the production traveled throughout the country. Due to voice problems, Loman's role was taken over by Yoran de Bont in February and March 2011.
In May 2011, Loman appeared in the short production Maria!, a musical mash-up of classics on the occasion of the festival 50 years of musical at M-Lab. From December 17, 2011, Jamai starred alongside Thomas de Bres and Christine van Stralen in The Winner at M-Lab, a musical theater performance about what happens after winning a TV talent show. Jamai not only played the lead role, he also developed the show together with M-Lab and scriptwriter Henk Rijks.
In January 2012, Jamai took on the role of Krakeel alongside actor Steve Beirnaert in the musical Droomvlucht at Theater de Efteling. He played the role of Krakeel two performances a week from January 20 to April 1. From the end of May 2012, Jamai Loman played the role of Chris in the musical Miss Saigon. He took over the role from Ton Sieben until the end of the production (July 8, 2012).
