Billy Dans is without a doubt one of the most successful lyricists and composers of today. The always smiling blond Amsterdam based Billy Dans was born and raised in the Jordaan. It is therefore inevitable that Billy, because of his Jordanian background, was brought up on the music of Johnny Jordaan, Willy Alberti, Andre Hazes and Tante Leen. Dutch lyrics and music is his passion. It flows through his blood. In his father's Amsterdam café, he regularly put on his favorite music.

In his teens, Billy became interested in Dutch rap. He started trying it himself and found that he was doing quite well. In 2009, together with his best friend Lyon, he scored a tentative hit on YouTube with 'Voorbij' (over 6 million views). This tasted like more. Gradually, the language virtuoso developed an unerring feeling for writing striking Dutch lyrics, not only for himself, but also for others.

His musical style is characterized by a mix of different genres, including pop, dance, and hip-hop. Thus, Billy has already written many tracks, including the hits "Frans Duits" by Frans Duijts & Donnie (2021), "Bieber van de Kroeg" by Mart Hoogkamer & Donnie (2022), "Paranoia" by Bilal Wahib (2022) and the platinum album "Voor Iedereen" by Tino Martin (2020). The success earned him no less than 3 Buma Awards in 2021. The songs for Tino Martin's new upcoming album are also largely from Billy and his team. Almost every day Billy is part of various writing teams of both well-known and 'upcoming' artists from the Dutch music scene. For example, Billy recently collaborated on Snelle's single 'Terugweg'. He is also currently spending a lot of time with André Hazes and together they are working hard on a new fresh sound for André's comeback.

Meanwhile, Billy is also working hard on his own musical career as an artist. In the meantime, he has released several singles such as his own gold record 'Beach Vibe', 'Ibiza', 'Hazes' and 'Ontspanje', 'Jongen uit de Stad' and most recently 'Svetlana'. On streaming services, Billy is popular, for example, some of his songs have been streamed millions of times and he has hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners. Steadily, he is building his own profile where he is quickly making a name for himself. His participation in the third season for the wildly popular TV show "The Traitors" will undoubtedly contribute to this again. His live shows are energetic and consist of a mix of the best covers and his own repertoire, mostly in medley form with plenty of room for interaction with the audience. His ultimate dream is a big show in his city of Amsterdam, but until then he is continuing to build his own career.
