Juffr. Jannie is a versatile cover band that is just a little different from other bands because they don't use rock-hard drums or cutting guitars, but a cajon and electric-acoustic guitars.

Unplugged enough to quietly start the evening (even acoustic on walk-ins) and energetic enough to always get the room partying and dancing!

The originally Zwolle band Juffr. Jannie (formerly Goeiesmorges Juffr. Jannie) has been a welcome guest at many a party for over 22 years. With beautiful polyphonic singing and surprising arrangements the five men guide you along various styles of music from different times. From the very beginning, Juffr. Jannie has put the creation of pure music first.

Therefore they play only on (amplified) acoustic instruments: no drummer, but a Spanish drum kit, also called Cajón; only electric-acoustic guitars and a keyboard player who uses the authentic sounds of the Rhodes, Hammond and piano.

The casual and spontaneous atmosphere during performances is striking. Here the audience can feel like sitting around the campfire, but also go out of their way to swinging dance numbers of, for example, Daft Punk and Justin Timberlake. Juffr. Jannie takes you further along the funk of Bruno Mars and country of John Denver, the intimacy of Racoon and the life song of Andre Hazes. But they also do not shun hits like 't Dondert en het Bliksemt by Guus Meeuwis and Sex on Fire by the Kings of Leon.

The band always seeks close contact with the audience and makes them part of the unconditional pleasure that the band itself experiences in making music. Every performance anew.
