About Iris and Mae
Mae grew up in an international, sports-fanatic environment that shaped her awareness of the power of inclusion. Through her personal experiences with depression and exclusion, she saw the urgent need for inclusive environments that prioritize mental wellbeing. With a BSc and MSc in Business Administration and Organizational Change, and experience at EY Switzerland in cultural & leadership transformation and talent management, Mae brings strategic insight and emotional intelligence to every stage.
Iris experienced firsthand how instability and unspoken mental health struggles affect identity and well-being. After facing challenges like PTSD, anxiety, and an eating disorder, she turned her healing into empowerment. Through her work in coaching, mentoring, and DEI, Iris helps others feel seen, heard, and supported - showing that healing and success can take many forms. Her approach encourages people to lead with compassion and authenticity.
Together, they ran the mental health & DEI foundation "Let's Break the Shame" for 5 years.

Working with the Let’s Break the Shame Foundation was very valuable and helped us to reflect on our mental health in the workplace. It was great to learn about how we can recognise and prevent stress in ourselves as well as in our coworkers in order to foster a culture of employee wellbeing at EVBox
