The best don't automatically get the most chances. Too often they are panhandlers who cash in on mediocre work with a big mouth. For years, the invisibility of women has been one of the two main causes of the unequal woman-male distribution at the (sub)top of business. While the world is crying out for female leadership!
Only for women?
No way. The theme of visibility is not women's alone. But women have traveled a different journey. A road that is good for women and men to be aware of.
In the lecture They don't see me Susan takes the participants of your event on a journey through the past, present and future. The lecture provides a look back at the past where women come from. It explains why making yourself visible can be so complicated.
Part two is about the present: we are on our way and we are not there yet. Almost daily in the news are examples where equality between women and men is far from being achieved.
The third and final part focuses on the future.
Participants are challenged to show leadership and be visible - in their own authentic way.
Emotion touches. That's why Susan always uses vulnerable examples from her own life - at home and at work - and caters to recent events in the news. Adapted, of course, to what you want to leave with your audience.
Your visitors will leave with:
- insight into why it is so easy to underestimate yourself and make yourself invisible
- a surprising look at profiling yourself
- inspiration and some even irritation as to why they made themselves look smaller
- a loving kick in the butt that stimulates action
- self-confidence
- free access to the mini-training Position yourself worth 47.00 euro
The lecture They don't see me contributes to:
- gender diversity
- reducing the confidence gap between women and men
- making the most of your human capital in a market where finding (good) people costs a fortune
- strengthen female leadership in the (sub)top of your organization
You can contact Susan Veldkamp for lectures and workshops on:
- Visibility in your work (positioning, profiling)
- Female leadership
Susan studies Technical Business Administration at Saxion University of Applied Sciences. In 2018, she quits her well-paying job as a sales and marketing manager after thirteen years to avoid regretting at the end of her life things she didn't do. In 2019, her book Less Need More Fun will be published. Every weekday, she releases the podcast For Female Leaders. She mentors women who want to cash in on their good work, in business and in the nonprofit.
Everything Susan does is dedicated to creating a more equal world for women.

By no means does everyone make me have a lump in my throat within five minutes.

Online 90 minutes of self-awareness. You, having a dream, getting a clear picture of and clearly noticing what your unique real obstacle is that is still keeping you from your goal. And starting to talk about this. Within a group of strong women who are experiencing something similar Working in different sectors but with the same desire to achieve their goals. Differences proved as helpful to me as the similarities. Susan guided me through my own process, turned things on in me and at the same time turned other things off. Result: the essential useful step forward to reach my goal. You do it yourself but you don't have to do it alone. And what not everything else follows: That promises something!

We asked Susan to speak at one of our events as an expert by experience and inspiration. Susan has a disarming way of speaking, her open mind invites others to join her in her story. She can bring people along and connects with the audience from a warm heart!

Super that Susan was able to put together such a top-notch training in such a short time. I was immediately 'turned on' and have been taking this into all my conversations ever since. After all, I can't expect others to be able to read me, I can give them a hand!
