Tom Coronel was born in Naarden, the Netherlands, in 1972. He is a well-known racing driver, whose highlights include winning the Japanese Formula 3 Championship and the International Masters of Formula 3, both in 1997.
In 2009, Tom raced the Dakar Rally in Argentina and Chile with his twin brother Tim. Besides racing together, the brothers were also seen together for many years in the advertisements of insurer Allianz Direct (formerly Allsecur). As a result, they won a Loden Lion in 2014 for the "most irritating BN'ers in an advertisement.
In addition to achieving international fame as a racing driver, Tom is also
an e-retailing entrepreneur. In 2006, he founded Create2fit to operate specialized Internet stores. In 2011, Tom was named E-Commerce Man of the Year by readers of Emerce magazine.
