Pauline de Wilde was born in Amstelveen and grew up on the outskirts of Amsterdam. As a little girl she already loves the stage and writes musicals in elementary school which she performs together with her friends for the whole school. At 18, she received her VWO diploma, auditioned for drama school and was told, "you go and get some life experience first," so she studied Commercial Economics in Haarlem, worked for Club Med in Paris and Italy and, at 21, found herself too early to work, so she continued her studies at the UvA, Business Economics. At 25, she graduates and gets the chance to leave for Seattle USA for a few years. And there, she makes her dream come true, she becomes an actress! For a few years she takes all possible theater classes at Freehold Theatre Lab, plays in various theater productions, movies and learns all about the profession. Back in the Netherlands, she shows LEF to pursue her dream of "being on stage" even here, despite the many opinions: "would you do that now, dive into the uncertain existence, with such a beautiful study? The market for economists is really good hear....."

Pauline followed her heart, played several guest roles and became best known for the RTL TV programs Snowmagazine and ViaVacance before diving more into the business corner and presenting programs for RTLZ as: Sustainable Business, Locally Sustainable and Entrepreneurial Business. For this she interviews so many passionate entrepreneurs that her interest in people who have the LEF to follow their hearts becomes even greater. She was asked by Oxfam Novib to become their business ambassador and thus rolled into the profession of chairperson. Her two passions come together: speaking on substantive issues and shining on a stage.

Through her experience as chairperson, Pauline sees that clients want their audience to get moving, but that proves to be a difficult task, as it requires LEF. Because these people also have to deal with the opinions and judgments of others (and themselves). Pauline decides to change that and now gives interactive lectures on how to get moving as an organization and as an individual. Her motto: "Life is not a dress rehearsal."

Pauline is committed to "Managers with a Mission," a multichannel platform that encourages Dutch companies to make more profit through social impact. She has been to Uganda for this and interviewed local entrepreneurs, brave people, who have built something from nothing.....nothing is not an option, that much is clear.
