Do you ever take a risk or do you prefer to avoid it? And what are the (possible) consequences? Former tennis player Richard Krajicek likes to tell you. He takes the audience into the world of tennis and the emotions that come with it. He will discuss both his former sports career and his life afterwards.
About Richard
Richard Krajicek was born in the Netherlands as the son of Czech refugees. Already at a very young age it became apparent that he had an exceptionally good ball sense. Soon he was training before school, after school, on weekends and even during vacations. At the age of five he was admitted to the Union training and by 1988 he became a professional tennis player. In 1996 he experienced the absolute highlight of his tennis career; his iconic Wimbledon victory. In addition, Richard reached 26 finals of which he won no less than 16.
After his tennis career came to a forced end, Richard decided to devote more time to his Richard Krajicek Foundation. This foundation focuses on the
construction of playgrounds for children in disadvantaged neighborhoods. Since 2003, Richard has been tournament director of the ABN Amro WTT in Ahoy Rotterdam. Richard is also an ambassador for the Sports Desk of ABN AMRO. He advises ABN AMRO on how to improve their services. In 1998 Richard Krajicek wrote the book `A half year Netpost´ together with journalist Theo Bakker. In January of 2005, Richards biography was published with the title `Hard Balls'.

What a great director he is. Always substantive and honest answers and attentive to the interviewer. And then also putting together such a starting field. And the players take him seriously and like him. (via YouTube)
