About Robert:
Robert Doornbos actually started his motorsport career at a relatively late age. Before that, he played tennis for years. Only after visiting a Formula One race did he decide to focus entirely on motorsports. Robert's career began in 1999 with the British Opel Lotus Winter Championship. In 2004, he had his big breakthrough. He raced in Formula 3000 that season, and was named Rookie of the Year. Due to his good performance, he joined Formula 1 and eventually Red Bull Racing. At Red Bull Racing, Robert drove several races and did a lot of test work.
