After his conservatory studies, Johan specialized in classically oriented world music from the near to far east, in addition to the well-known classical guitar repertoire.
Johan Timmermans is a classically trained all-round guitarist. He worked his way through many different genres to eventually graduate from the conservatory as a gifted classical guitarist. These days he focuses mainly on non-Western classical world music with his duos Zephyra and Hiedra, and is working on a new interpretation of Dutch cabaret
Johan provides performances for listening audiences as well as background music at all kinds of venues.

Aan een tafel van circa twintig mensen nam Johan op natuurlijke wijze plaats. Hij voelde vanaf het begin de sfeer van het feest uitstekend aan en wist met zijn muzikale keuze, maar ook zijn ingetogen, uitermate muzikale spel het feest extra kleur te geven. Heel veel dank!
