I'm Katerina, I'm 29 years old and I'm a cellist! I studied classical music in HKU and I want to play music in new plats and venues. I play classical and acoustic music but I can try different music genres!
I started playing cello when I was six years old, and I immediately fell in love with it. I basically knew already I want to become a professional musician the moment I played my first note! After finishing my music studies in Greece, I decided I want to travel the world and find the perfect place for me to further my studies and involve my cello playing. I traveled, and I found Utrecht to be the place I was looking for!
I received my Bachelor’s degree from Utrechts Conservatorium after four years of practicing and meeting new people and music experiences. After my Bachelor’s, I spent a year studying in the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. From this year on, I
am planning to go back to my beloved city of Utrecht and continue my Master’s studies in HKU once again.
Apart from studying, I play in various avenues around the Netherlands, I am a member in chamber music ensembles, I participate in semi-professional orchestras, and I offer private lessons to anyone who would like to play the cello!

Katerina, thank you for your beautiful Bach music! Wonderful to play in that place. Heard from many that they enjoyed it. I had to laugh at what you called "happy Bach music " to play at the beginning when the visitors walked in; it certainly is! Your addition with the performance of two serious pieces by Bach for cello at noon was a success. The audience listened silently!

Katerina played incredibly beautifully on her beloved Cello on the occasion of my parents' 60th anniversary. She came all the way by train to South Limburg. In the shade of the tree she played a prearranged mix of classical, romantic and festive pieces. The family and friends, young and old, enjoyed themselves. The highlight was of course when my father, completely moved, grabbed my mother's hand upon hearing Bizet's Carmen. Thank you Katerina! We hope many more people get to enjoy you and your Cello in the future
