Bert started guitar lessons at the age of twelve and graduated from the conservatory in Arnhem. From the age of fourteen he played in countless bands in the land of Cuijk, the last twelve years in the Eightball Boppers.
The repertoire consists of instrumental versions of well-known jazz and pop songs. Also the most famous classical pieces are played

His music can regularly be heard on radio and TV productions at home and abroad. After 35 years of teaching at the Meander he started his own guitar school in Gennep, Sint Anthonis and Mill in September 2013.
