Live background music on guitar. I am Lex Kemper, a guitarist who is very good at creating a pleasant atmosphere. Especially on occasions where people like to have a conversation.
I'm Lex Kemper, a guitarist who can create a great atmosphere. Especially on venues where people like to have a conversation. I'm not a busybody, and I keep the volume down. My repertoire is broad, and mainly based on the music of the 20th century. A lot of pop, jazz, 60's and 70's, mediterranean, south-american, blues, evergreens, light classical, as varied as possible. The choice of programme is made in consultation with the client. Request numbers are possible (if playable).
Specialties of the house:
- Pure quiet background. Very suitable to accompany smaller dinners. In my hometown Apeldoorn I have been the house guitarist at restaurant the Bon Vivant for years.
- A bit spicier. Nowadays I sometimes use a 'looper' to
play my own accompaniment, so I can sound like a small band. Great for receptions, where a livelier background is in order.
- Wedding ceremony + reception area. At the ceremony I play live for example at the entrance, signing of the acts, and leaving the place. And then at the reception area. Possibly also at dinner. We have personal contact beforehand and discuss what is going to be played and when. For the final party, where the roof is going to dance off, I am not suitable!
Lexolo' is all about background music! I only sing with it on explicit request.

The contact with Lex was very pleasant. From one of the colleagues we celebrated her 25th anniversary at a cooking studio. Lex arrived on time and started playing while we were still cooking. When we sat down to dinner he had rehearsed a song by Depeche Mode especially for the celebrant (she is a big fan) and that was a nice moment for her. This was agreed with him in advance and nice that he wanted to do this for her. Also during dinner everyone enjoyed his music.

Beautiful performance, For my wife's birthday we booked Lexsolo. We wanted music in the background, which was not overpowering but still created a pleasant atmosphere. We succeeded very well! Besides the fact that Lex is absolutely a good guitarist, he also feels the people very well. At one point the people went outside into the garden because of the nice weather and Lex went into the garden with them. All in all, I can highly recommend Lex. Above expectations and definitely worth repeating
