Close to Fire is a four-piece indie pop band from Haarlem, Netherlands, known for their summery sound and catchy tunes. The young gentlemen released their EP in a sold out Paradiso Amsterdam and then their new album in a sold out Bitterzoet and toured across European borders to perform at international surf festivals and well-known venues in Germany, France, Spain and of course in their homeland. During the shows we play a mix of their own songs and music within the sphere of their own discography. On request we play more or less own work. But always with a happy summer atmosphere!
Previous singles have been played on national radio and already reached 4 million streams. Better-known works like "Summer Haze" & "Feeling Young" are part of their new debut album: This Is What It Feels Like.
This Is What It Feels Like is a coming of age story of four musicians in their early twenties about their experiences in choices, love, friendship and adventures!
Close to Fire has a very recognizable sound with hooks, melodies and harmonies that can be heard in their own music and Indie/pop covers.

The price given is for a 90min performance and is an indication. Often the band plays a set of 90min, combination of covers and own music, everything is negotiable. The set includes very professional sound
technology and sound engineer. The band also offers a DJ set after the live performance on request. The PA/sound set is possibly available for the whole evening/party in consultation!

We had a super evening at our wedding party thanks in part to this cool band! The atmosphere they brought was very good, good music and spontaneous artists. We had a lot of positive reactions to the set we played and can recommend close to fire to anyone! Also the DJ (arranged by the band) was very good and ended the evening top notch for us!

Close to Fire put on a super performance during our wedding party. All the guests went wild and were enthusiastic about the band. The day after we received from several people that they were listening to the music. The contact was nice and professional. The set the band played was a good mix of own songs and covers. In consultation more is possible, for example for our opening dance they sang an adapted text to an existing song, and the groom could play a song on the guitar. We couldn't have wished for a better band at our wedding!

may 20, we celebrated our wedding in a mini festival style, where Close to fire kicked off the evening. And what a kicker it was! They were super flexible, they changed the program because of the rain, and as soon as they started playing, the crowd went wild. The improvised "speeches" and songs of drunken guests they could flawlessly accompany their music, and the mix of own songs and covers were nicely alternated. We received many compliments about the band afterwards, and the atmosphere it created. Highly recommended, especially if your audience likes a bit of beach and surfy vibes We will definitely recommend you to anyone who is looking for a great band, so keep it up :) thanks again for your great contribution to our wedding, regards Mirte and Mathieu

We had booked Close to Fire for our wedding based on the reviews we read. A perfect move! The setting we were in, nice and outside, reminded us of the festivals we missed so much With a good variation between their own songs and tasty covers they knew how to get the whole audience quiet at one moment and to blow up the tent at the next. If you want a good party, this band is for you, 10/10!

Close to Fire played at our wedding and they were fantastic. The contact before the big day went very pleasant. Very personal and approachable. Besides that their performance was very professional. The singing together really was of an exceptionally high level. Doesn't happen often that you hear a band cover both the Beach Boys and the Youth of Nowadays, without detracting from the original. Really strong. Technically good musicians who also understood what they had to bring. They were preparing for a tour of surf camps and they also brought that relaxed surf vibe, but at the same time they fitted in very well with our location and our audience. They weren't busy with themselves, but with everyone having a nice evening. And the reactions of the female part of the group were not unpleasant to the eye ;) Sound was excellent and quickly arranged, according to the wishes of the organizer and location. Also the assembly and disassembly was smooth and noiseless. We think Close to Fire will be the new Dutch success. At least we will book them at every next party and I hope you will too!

The roots of the four-piece band Close To Fire lie in Castricum aan Zee. A place that immediately evokes associations with the beach. So it's not surprising that the band comes from that village with a nice summery indie-pop record. Summer Haze' is a nice relaxing song. Music to put your beach chair by the surf and enjoy the sunset.

The origin of the four-piece band Close To Fire lies in Castricum Aan Zee. A place where the association of the average Dutchman immediately goes to the beach. So it's not surprising that a band from that village makes a summery indiepop record. Summer Haze has become a very nice relaxing song. Ideal to play on the beach when the sun slowly sets. And not just on the beach at Castricum Aan Zee. This song is way too good for that.

For a Masked Ball from our housing association we were looking for a band that makes cheerful, danceable Indiepop. Close to Fire completely matched this wish and exceeded all expectations. They got everyone dancing and at the famous covers everyone sang along loudly without being too calibrated. The combination of their own songs and covers worked well and made the show in no way boring or unpredictable. I would book Close to Fire again for a wedding, company party or neighborhood festival. I think they can easily adapt to any event and even let the mopedy neighbour dance along!
